Hi David,
Thanks for your advice.

In "Screen sections" I add "800x600" to both "The Colour SVGA server" and
"Accelerated server" sections in the "Modes" row after "1024x768", but I
can't toggle between the resolutions using Ctrl + Alt + "-/+" in KDE or in
Xterm windows (another level) both in "root" and "user", no response at all
after pressing the keys. I don't know what mistake I have commited. The
detail under "Screen sections" is as follows:
# The Colour SVGA server
Section "Screen"
Driver "svga"
# Use Device "Generic VAG" for Standard VGA 320x200x256
# Device "Generic VGA"
Device "My Video Card"
Monitor "My Monitor"
Subsection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "1024x768" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
EndSubsection
# The accelerated servers (S3, Mach32, Mach8, 8514, P9000, AGX, W32, Mach64
# 1128, 1n S3V)
Section "Screen"
Driver "accel
Device "My Video Card"
Monitor "My Monitor"
Subsection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "1024x768" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
EndSubsection
Between the "Colour svga server" section and the "accelerated server
section" there are other 2 sections which read as follow;
# The 16-color VGA server
Section "Screen"
Driver "vga16
Device "Generic VGA"
Monitor "My Monitor"
Subsection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "640x480" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
EndSubsection
# The Mono server
Section "Screen"
Driver "vga2
Device "Generic VGA"
Monitor "My Monitor"
Subsection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "640x480" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
EndSubsection
Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.
