Your right.  I just discoverd in the RAID-HOWTO that /boot can't be striped.
I did set up a small /boot partion on the first drive but the GUI install
still wouldn't do a RAID 0 install.  I'm getting reports that say there's a
bug in my Adaptec 2940W controller and the lastest kernels have the fix for
some ext2 problems.
