Can't, man; /boot can't be on any RAID but RAID1.
I can't guess why you're getting the hangs.
Maybe make a small /boot partition not RAID and put everything else on RAID0?

Subject: RH 6.1 and RAID
During the GUI install, I have RAIDed together two root partions /dev/sda2 &
/dev/sdb2 => /dev/md0. Anyway, I'm forced to use RAID 1. Choosing RAID 0
will not let me click on the next button. That baffles me. Both /dev/sda2
and /dev/sdb2 are the same size.
So it creates the /dev/md0 as RAID 1 as starts to install packages. I've
tried this three times and the installer hangs after installing only a few
.rpm packages.
I have two 9Gig SCSI drives. How would _you_ partion those drives so that
the installer works with RAID 1 and RAID 0?
