    I'm the original poster .... my question actually did not address the 
topic of email, another poster made a few suggestions based on his personal 
experiences.

    My original post was concerning CPU chip compatibility .... I am 
currently using Redhat 5.2 at work. It runs so smoothly, and the switchover 
was so painless, that I'd like to use Linux at home.
    My problem is that Redhat shows a compatibility problem with the Cyrix 
MediaGX chip in my PC. I was wondering is there is a patch available that 
works around this.
