Look in the source RPMS for 6.1.  The perl version in 6.1 is 5.00503.
If your Red Hat distro installed is < 6.1, d/l the source RPM rather
than the binary, install, cd to /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/ and do an 
"rpm -bb " of the spec file.
