A long shot (?)

I had the exact same problem yesterday evening.

I then downloaded the upgraded images from RedHat (boot or bootnet plus
updates) and everything went fine. In my case, doing an ftp update from
within my local network, I used the bootnet image. 

During installation, at the promt you will have to type 'linux updates'
(no quotes) instead of just hitting the enter key.
