Hi Folks
I have a paid up verion of OSS and havesuccesfully transferred and updated it
through RH 5. 5.2 and .6
Now I am trying to get it to work on 6.1
HEre is the error............................................

Error: Your kernel seems to be configured without loadable module versioning.
Please recompile the kernel with CONFIG_MODVERSIONS option enabled. This option

can be enabled by answering the following question:
"Set version information on all symbols for modules"

ALSO MAKE SURE that the sources/heades for the currently active
kernel are in /usr/src/linux. The sndshield compiling procedure expects them to

be there.

See /usr/local/lib/oss/Readme and /usr/local/lib/oss/install.log for more info.

Error: You do not appear to have kernel include files installed properly.

The kernel you are currently running is 2.2.12-20. However
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h
contains the sources/headers for .
You should make sure that /usr/src/linux/include contains the sources/headers
for the kernel image that is being used on this system.

so off I go to /usr/src/linux to recompile my kernel
make xmenuconfig reveals that CONFIG_MODVERSIONS is enabled already
and the include files are in the right place

Is this an OSS issue or a RedHat issue or a kernel issue?
Where do I go from here'Anyone else withthis problem with 6.1?
Could it have come with the wrong kernel headers?
Thansk

Phil
