I'm going to venture a guess that your problem may be scan rate. Try
setting the 1024x768 resolution at 72 Hz (what it runs on on my Mac with
that specific model).
I'm not certain the monitor is rated for a higher resolution or refresh
rate (nor do I care: I've been using this monitor for four years with no
eyestrain :).
You may also wish to tell the RH installer ~not~ to automatically take you
to a GUI and instead give you a command prompt. This makes it MUCH
easier to try out your changes to /etc/X11/XF86Config
