Hey guys, I got tthree questions for you:

1) Anyone have any trouble using Promise ATA Ultra 66 controller cards with
linux. I thought i read that someone was having trouble getting linux to
recognize hde. I just bought a new IBM Deskstar 34GXP 34.2GB drive for my
PII 333. I put Win 98 (i know, i'm a loser) and I'm using my old 8 gig for
Redhat 6.0. I wanted to mount the windoze partition while using linux but I
heard there's some issues. Anyone have any experience?

2) The new drive I bought runs a little warm. I'd like it to last. Plus, I
have an 8 gig for linux and am planning on getting another 8 gig for NT 4.0
(to remotely administer network when i go back to school). That's on top of
the full house of PCI cards, zip dirve, DVD, and CD-R. Anyone know of a
good cooling solution besides the Kryotech boxes? They're a touch to
expensive for my taste. If worst comes to worst I can always open the cover
and go buy a window fan but it gets a little anoying when my computer makes
more noise than an airplane landing. Any ideas?

3) I'm planning on getting NT 4.0 so i can remotely administer network from
my dorm room (as mentioned above). I had a friend who tried to install NT,
98, and linux and had trouble because NT kept overwriting lilo in the mbr.
Has anyone done this? I'd like to use lilo to boot all three. Just
wondering if there's a certain order to install the OSes in or if I need to
use the NT Bootloader or what. Maybe somebody can point me to a HOW-TO???

Thanks,

Jeff
