I agree that they are being irresponsible. Any attempts of accessing the
servers here at work I will ignore the first or second time. An obvious
portscan like the one you have recorded can be considered hostile, and
is definitely something to worry about.
However, I think that you are voicing your complaint to the wrong people. Try
sending a message with the relevant exerpts from your logs to the offending
parties ISP, say "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". At least you'll get a confirmation of
your complaint from them.
