I've been struggling to get Real Player 5.0 to work properly. It's
installed correctly in /usr/bin/rvplayer, it's in my path, mime types
are set up in Netscape, and it plays local files such as the welcome.rm
file with no problem. BUT, I can't get it to play anything from the
internet. If I click on a Real Audio file, Real Player starts, the
ubiquitous web advertisement pops up, and Real Player just sits there.
No .ra or .rm file is downloaded, and nothing plays. Can anyone with a
Real Player success story help out?
Thanks,
Jeff

b.t.w. system is RH5.0 running on a P6, using a Sound Blaster 16 audio
card. As I said, local files play perfectly.
