I have just stopped being a virtual Linux fan and actually installed
RH 5 on my home machine (a second one to follow). For some reason I
chose to install Metro-X (included in CD).
ConfigX seems to work but when i startx it craps out with the following
Xerror file:

(sorry for all that lengthy information)
this is the eqpt i have:
ATI 3D Rage 4Mb
Orchestra Bass 17"
cyrix M2 /w 32Mb
mouse 3 buttons ????: no idea - tried various settings but would only work
as a 2 button
If i run xdm, most of the time i get continuos clicking and noise from the
monitor - not a pretty sound - and a blank/flashing screen - NAP sight.
On a few occasions (i don't try this a lot) it does come up with the fvwm and
everything looks great (not sure if it is the same setting as i specified)
I hve not upgraded with the errata in redhats site yet.
what causes this problem? how do i fix it?
thaks in advance,
frank
P.S more questions to follow ;)
