Gday
This looks like something we had really BAD problems with for weeks.
Firstly, even though ip_forwading is turned on in the kernel, (make sure by typing:
cat /proc/kmsys | grep ip_forward
it needs to be activated within the /etc/sysconfig/network file
We couldnt ever get this thing working on RH 5.0 between 1 ppp interface and 2
ethernet
interfaces, which had several different subnets over them.
We dropped back to 4.2 and it works like a gem.
I have a feeling it was a glibc update that causes the problem, but, our companies
name
was on the line so a quick fix to a known working solution was required which meant we
couldnt test our theories.
Regards
adam
