Hello all, I am presented with what is (apparantly) a unique situation :-) I have a ProLiant 5500 server that I pressed back into service as a network monitoring station, running RH 9, MRTG and various other tools. As this machine is looked at by some higher-ups, I would prefer that this box not have any unplanned downtime, that is hardware-related. My first thought is, "I'm running a Compaq Insight Manager server, and this is Compaq hardware...let's see if there are any Insight Manager Agents avaialble for this platform." I have since found out that there are no agents available for this hardware, for RH9. Bummer
I have Googled extensively, and searched the archives, to no avail. What solutions exist out there for monitoring hardware, whether the "snap in" to Insight Manger or not :-) I'm mainly concerned about one of the disks attached to the array controller going bad - that seems to happen with alarming regularity on this hardware.
