You don't mention any specs on the linux box, so it's difficult to say if that machine will handle the traffic for 50 clients or not.. Linux can certainly do it, if you have a reasonable box with adequate ram this setup should not be a problem. To utilize your extra ip addresses you can assign them as aliases to eth0 and then seperate your NAT/MASQ across several outgoing ip addresses. You would probably want at least 2 ip addresses on the external eth0 interface...
