I'm using a Dell Latitude CSx right now, but that's an old one. Check out http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/I am using a Toshiba satelite 2430-S255 and I have installed RH 9 along with the default WinXP that it comes with and it is awesome.
There are some mailinglists there as well.
