It isn't only the .com domains but also the .net domains that are affected. You can verify this by doing a host name lookup on any stupid domain name (ie dfghj.com). You will get back Verisign's ip address. This translates into a major spam loophole since spammers often fake their domains but MTA's like sendmail default to confirming they are at least valid. Now any .com or .net will show up as valid. The ORBS RBL suddenly decided that all domains were blacklisted. I understand this was a direct result of Verisign's antics.
