Your response speaks for itself. In this age of worms and script kiddies, we can't afford to propogate the notion that the Internet is some big sandbox for everyone to play in. If you're going to provide a public service, you need to be a responsible administrator. Learning the in's and out's of this *before* you plug your exploitable system into the world is a vital step to becoming a valued member of the online society.
