I am in the process of installing this via the install.sh script on a rh9 box and it looks like the prel-MIME-tools rpm built ok. If you want I can put it on the web and you can DL it and do rpm -ivh --justdb to at least get around the dep problem. Not a clean fix but should allow you to continue to upgrade via apt.
