I'm running RedHat 9.0 (upraded from 8.0) and I have an Advansys ABP940U I'm trying to change for an Adaptec 2940U, due to some problems I'm having with my CDRW.
First, let me state that the system boots off IDE, so I don't need an INITRD.
Second, the system found the new card and added it to /etc/modules.conf,
however, my problem is that it doesn't appear to find it at boot time, and
load the module for it, despite it being in /etc/modules.conf.
Can someone please tell me EXACTLY what to change to make the system boot up
with the AIC7xxx driver?
