Hi! I need some help. I have installed jedit with the newest stable java installer from their website. However, when I try to run jedit I get this message: Warning: JAVA_HOME environment variable not set. Error: could not find libjava.so Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.
You need to set the JAVA_HOME shell variable to the directory where you have Java installed. IIRC JEdit has a startup script. This would be a good place to set it.
