I can ping the machine successfully > though. > > Bob > Hey Bob, Try the smbclient from the command line and see what it tells you: smbclient //computer/printer it will probably ask you for a password and you can just press ENTER. if you do successfully connect then you can try a print command like: print /etc/issue See what happens, either way it will give a clue as to what's going on.
