Well, having said all of that....some instances of the "are you sure" syndrome can be eliminated. If you get it when you use the rm,cp or mv commands, take a look at your aliases. You can change those. For other programs, I agree its just annoying. I use xcdroast to burn CDs. I really like it, EXCEPT that it always asks me if I really want to quit.
