I will happily second the above, especially if you also consider the
additional advantage that paid-for RHN accounts have over "demo" ones:
there is some kind of bandwidth guarantee for paid subscribers so that,
whenever the RHN ftp site gets overloaded (recent example: the release
of the newest "XFree86" packages), paid subscribers can still download
updates at decent (privileged) speeds at any time.

And, please, do not forget: "free" as in "free speech" (rather than
"free beer")!...
