What is the issue with the linksys? I found them in the past to be pretty good for a cheapo NIC. I have no done much with 9 but are you sure it won't work?

There's major problems with the LNE100TX under both Windoze and Linux....

I found this out when I bought two for $5 a piece from BestBuy, and they would just lose network connection from time to time (the Linux boxes wouldn't come back up unless you restarted the whole system). Said screw it, gave them too my sister (I'm an evil bastard), and bought two Netgear cards the following week (they were on sale at that time), and haven't had a problem.
