OK I assume here that you are talking about a server sitting on a DHCP driven Internet connection. For my purposes I need something different. I have a build CD that creates servers on a Gigabit switched internal network. A script is then run on each server to set the IP address of the server to a static value depending on which server number this is. I want something where the server can then contact the Windows DNS servers and register the new server name and IP address in the Windows controlled DNS. So I really do need a piece of software that will allow a Linux server on a network to register it's presence in the remote DNS for that network using DNS dynamic update. -- Regards, +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Peter Kiem .^. | E-Mail : <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | | Zordah IT /V\ | Mobile : +61 0414 724 766 | | IT Consultancy & /( )\ | WWW : www.zordah.net | | Internet Services ^^-^^ | ICQ : "Zordah" 866661 | +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ My current spamtrap address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
