Dear All,

Just a short note to give some feedback on my compile process for kernel
20.4.20-8 on RH9.

Firstly I used "make menuconfig" as it appeared to be easier to scoot
around in than xconfig. I was trying to compile in pcmcia modules. each
time that I checked pcmcia cardbus support and saved the config, it
appeared to 'lose' the setting in the remainder of the process.

I then switcged to xconfig, did exactly the same (although the save
process does not need two steps like "make menuconfig") and I was able
to compile without errors and pcmcia support was in
/lib/modules/etc/etc.

Maybe this was finger trouble, but I did it a few time with a similar
problem.

Regards,

G
