when I tried it told me that the Apache needed to be greater than or equal to 2.0.44 - are you sure it needs to be greater than ?
I went back to 1.3 apache and redhat 7.3 at that point and installed php 4.3.2 fine
Jim:-)
The gang at PHP recommend that you do NOT use any version of php with Apache 2.x. They recommend that you stick with Apache 1.3.x as 2.x support of php is beta at best.
But there are things in Apache 2.0 which are not supported in Apache 1.3. Example, IPv6... http://www.ip6.wittsend.com
Um, so? Right now only the goverment[0] (DoD to be specific) are going to be using IPv6 wholesale.
PHP needs to get there stuff "out of beta" considering that
True dat.
Apache has already stated that they want everyone moving to Apache 2.0 and are strongly encouraging this.
I don't like the way they changed the structure of the httpd.conf file. Takes too long to get used to. :-p
