The ATI card's refresh can be turned up high enough to damage most monitors
(Some ATI cards can sync as high as 220 Mhz!)  - However, unless there have
been some configuration changes, the sync rate normally doesn't just start
climbing... If it's a fairly new card, I'd take it back and have the store
check it.. Let them toast their monitors, instead of your own...
