This one worked for me:

if u are in the reply/compose window, try these (on the menu):
1. Format > Plain text
2. File > Properties > Send Options  and mark UUencode.  then hit OK.

mind u - that htmlautobot reply doesn't come from redhat but from one
of the regular posters here.
