Hello,

You could try installing with a usb keyboard to skirt this issue.  Take a look 
around the errata site for keyboard issues.  I haven't looked there myself 
but I do know that this is a known problem for laptop Solaris installs.  
after the initial installe keyboard was functional -- at least with Solaris.
