Um... In many cases this is true, but I wouldn't want anyone to come to the
list saying we mislead or anything, so I wanted to clarify.
Since X will take all the input from the mouse and keyboard, it is possible
(but it doesn't *always* happen) that you won't be able to hit Alt-Fn and get
the signal through a locked up X server.
But, like I said, this is not *always* the case...
