It's very unlikely that it's broken on several mirrors and only you
run into it. I suggest you try to download it again, e.g. from
ftp.tu-chemnitz.de. Make sure you enable binary mode when using FTP.

$ rpm -K samba-common-2.2.7a-8.9.0.i386.rpm 
samba-common-2.2.7a-8.9.0.i386.rpm: (sha1) dsa sha1 md5 gpg OK

$ md5sum samba-common-2.2.7a-8.9.0.i386.rpm
