Checkm out /etc/sysconfig/network this lists among other things, what
gateway your machine should use. I believe that rebooting afterwards will
make the change effective.

Subject: gateway
Dear Linux Gurus:
What file do I edit, or what command do I use to establish a gateway
IP address? Do I have to reboot the machine to or restart a process
to use the new gateway?
Thanks...
