Mark, Adding domain names to local-host-names has nothing to do with the change mentioned in this thread. The change mentioned in this thread has to do with how sendmail announces itself during the HELO transaction with the remote MTA. Adding domain names to local-host-names tells sendmail to treat the added domains as local. i.e. hand off the inbound e-mail to procmail for local delivery. Since I frontend my exchange server with sendmail, I do NOT add domain names to local-host-names, I add them to /etc/mail/mailertable so that they are relayed to my exchange server.
