Big (smaller than Office 97), slow (faster than Office 97), but an
order of a magnitude better than MS Office 97; it doesn't vaporize
or display random error messages, either.
The only problem I had was the libc and libm thing. I got the
program to install (for user) by copying the libs to
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib and making the symlinks there vice
the /usr/local/Office40/lib location outlined in www.waldherr.org.
Only bug I've found shows up when editing html files on my web server:
1. SO4 dereferences the links and changes the to file:/// which won't
work for the client.
2. Any directory that begins with '/h' (as in /hawaii or /hpu) gets
the 'h' removed (/hawaii becomes /awaii).
So I used the great advice I received from Microsoft 10 years ago -
if it breaks when you do that, don't do that. (I was really told
this my one of their customer service engineers.)
