I've been using sarg on two squid caches for several months now, and the
only hicup I had was when the filesystem where it generated it's reports
filled up. A little cleaning and it's been smooth ever since.

Hmm... Maybe... One of the caches is RH 7.2 with kernel 2.4.9 (haven't
had the chance to test the upgrades and it's a production server), and
the other is a fully updated RH 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18. Perhaps a kernel
update will help. Is your problem consistent or seems to be random?
