I've been using sarg on two squid caches for several months now, and the only hicup I had was when the filesystem where it generated it's reports filled up. One of the caches is RH 7.2 with kernel 2.4.9 (haven't had the chance to test the upgrades and it's a production server), and the other is a fully updated RH 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18.
