HEY!
Very strange:
During install, the building of the filesystem was NOT working
at all (tons of errors, and couldn't mount when finished).
So I had changed the BIOS setting from LBA to NORMAL. Well,
this got me through the install much better (no issues).
Then, on first boot, I got the 'LI' problem. I tried setting
back to LBA and now it works fine!
Much thanks to everyone who helped me out with this.
I absolutely am thrilled with Linux and the Linux community; helping
eachother out seems so much more fulfilling than being on hold with
phone support.
