Tim, didn't you ask this before already? I'm sure I saw (what I think were
correct) answers regarding sendmail DNS issues. Did you try anything? Guess
not.

How about, for now, you disable sendmail? Might make your life easier, and
allow Linux to start properly.

Also, as someone else suggested (twice, I might add), you really should be
throwing 5.0 in the bin by now. What's the problem with installing something
more recent?
