On the C610, there's a BIOS screen setting that describes aspects of the system behavior on battery and on A/C. One of those settings is the lid action. The default is suspend on battery and remain active on A/C. Now in my case, if I want to suspend, I need to unplug and close the lid. If I use the <Fn>-<Esc> keyboard combo to suspend, then the fans come on full speed on resume and won't shut off. Haven't tried apm -s yet, but it would be an annoyance to have to use that. -- Matthew Saltzman Clemson University Math Sciences [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.clemson.edu/~mjs -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
