Configure up2date (the personal user version is free) and then do: # up2date -l If you see a new kernel, and it's probably marked to be ignored, do the following: # up2date -u -f kernel* This will safely install the correct kernel for your system. The old one will be left intact in case you ever need to go back. While you're visiting up2date, apply the rest of the updates too. The vast majority of them will be security releases. .../Ed > P.S. If they are RPMs is installation as simple as rpm -i (install-options) > 'new-kernel' or is it more difficult than this? That's it. Nice and simple. -- Ed Wilts, Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
