I am running Redhat 8.0 with Kde 3.0 I have somehow lost the up2date notify icon (blue check if system updated, redhat ! if updates are avail and green arrows if checking.) Well through asking questions,etc i have learned that by typing rhn-applet-gui & i can make it appear. and it does! however when i close the terminal window it goes away. I want to make it so that it stays there and is there upon reboot etc. now when i right click on the blue check it gives a configuration menu and i configure it it talks about if i want to remove the icon, and in the future want it back, to right click on panel and go add-> applet -> monitors. problem is i don't have a monitors choice . help!
