I've got two peculiar problems with my RH 8.0 system that I suspect may be
related.

1) /etc/rc.d/rc.local is not executed when the system boots.

2) telinit to levels 0, 1, 6 all 'hang'. It'll get to the point where it
says 'there are no more processes at this run level' and just stop. I have
to actually power-cycle to reboot. Oddly, if I hit ctrl-alt-delete at this
point I hear some HDD activity, but nothing seems to happen.

I'm not sure where /etc/rc.d/rc.local is executed from, or what is wrong
with my shutdown apps... Anybody got any ideas???
