A little help would be much appreciated.

I have read the redhat how to and they suggest i run the command cat
/proc/ioports and cat /proc/interrupts . this presupposes the output is
understood. I list below the examples they give and then my real life
results.

could someone plese indentify which entries are the modem entries?

Getting Online With a Modem
Question:

I can't get my modem to work. Can you help?

Answer:

First, check to see if your modem is a supported device. Double-check the
Hardware Compatibility List at http://hardware.redhat.com.

Verify that your modem is being detected by the system and that it is not
conflicting with other resources. You can check this with the following
commands (as seen in this example):

cat /proc/ioports
