I've recently upgraded my notebook from RH7.3 using KDE principally where suspend mode worked very well on a Thinkppad T23. Since upgrading to RH8.0 it no longer works. The system suspends OK but on resume it either freezes on the first mouse move or it thrashes the hard disk as though it cannot complete the memory image load. The problem happens under both Gnome (Bluecurve) and KDE. /usr/bin/apm is SUID.
Thanks,
Peter
