Update icon disappeared on 8.0 Gui

The redhat network update icon in the lower right hand corner of my GUI screen disappeared in 1100x768 (don’t remember the exact numbers but it is the one just above 1024X???) mode. I did a reinstall and the icon was gone. It is there but it is so thin I cannot see it.   Any ideas   Thanks   Terry
