I have a quick question concerning modules -

I recently recompiled my kernel to add sound card support (I have a
funky sound card that needs to be included in the kernel). While I was
reconfiguring it I turned off a lot of options that I don't need. After
installing the kernel (and doing the make modules and make
modules_install) when I reboot I get a lot of errors about not finding
specific drivers. Not only that, my sound card does not work - even
though the kernel is reporting that it found it correctly. I am
figuring that the modules are conflicting with the kernel. Anyways, how
do I stop getting these errors about looking for modules I don't need
loaded anyways? Any help would be appreciated.

BTW: I am running Redhat 5.0 on an AMD P-90 system.
