I upgraded to the 2.0.32-3 kernel packages (not easy considering it won't
let you upgrade while running 2.0.32, so it involved a quick compile of
2.0.33). Anyway, now I am back to running 2.0.32 and on bootup I keep
receiving the message:

modprobe: cannot locate module binfmt-0

I have read all the module HOWTO's and mini-HOWTO's, looked at
conf.modules, run depmod -a many times, etc, etc, to no avail. I cannot
figure out why it even tries to look for this module (I suppose it's
kerneld that does the looking), let alone what this module even is (I think
support for some other binaries than ELF). I'd also like to clear this up
since I will want to compile a newer kernel soon and don't want broken
dependencies, etc, hanging around. I'm tired of running the bloated
default kernel with 8 million modules I don't need.

Any help in diagnosing this problem would be appreciated. Specifically,
how do I specify exactly which modules kerneld looks for? (defaults, not
conf.modules)
