Yes, we are here.  I believe I found a nice package for an APC brand ups at
sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux that allowed you to set it per the type of serial
cable you're using.

One note, do be careful that you are using a UPS-specific cable (not a
standard serial cable) and that you know what model number your cable is...
you should be fine.
