Which we do - but this costs money (try paying a few Washigton hotel
bills, which we did for the FOSE show and the DC Linux Installfest
last week...), to say nothing of the time away from their normal day
job!

People at learning Linux at college and university, using it at home
and advocating it in their place of work will generally still be
fairly young and early in their careers. These are (again generally)
the people at Linux user groups and such.
It is always worrth preaching to the choir as these people are and
always will be the strongest advocates of the Linux operating system.
Right now, such people have limited influence in their organisations,
but they *are* succeeding in placing Linux in a huge range of
organisations. As their careers grow so will their influence - and
Linux will grow with them.
Remember, Linux as a commercially visible operating system is really
only one (or maybe two) years old...still only a young child even in
this fast paced industry!
This does not mean we are going to sit on our butts and do nothing to
push the Linux bandwagon forward (some of the things we are working on
at Red Hat would make your toes curl with anticipation :-) - but
neither are we going to abandon our most active proponents!
